Access Coordinators Australia is a collective of Access Coordinators who have been trained with the support of Screen Australia.

We are specialist below-the-line crew members working across all genres and formats, including scripted and unscripted productions, reality TV, advertising, web series and more.

Access Coordination is a specialised role that combines expert knowledge of film and TV production with the advocacy skills and lived-experience awareness of existing barriers to Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent (DDN) professionals.

It is a crew role intended to be a vital, practical and affordable step in bringing genuine equity to the Australian screen industry. We apply an ‘access-first’ lens to identify and remove potential and actual barriers for all cast and crew employed on a screen production.

We liaise with members of production (including but not limited to the Producer, Heads of Department, crew members, cast and suppliers) and provide up-to-date advice and oversight on access adjustments and hands-on support to dismantle these barriers.
